Vera Wang Wows in 2 Skin-Baring Gowns at Her Rat Pack-Themed 75th Birthday Party: See the Jaw-Dropping Looks!

The designer loves a good outfit change

Vera Wang knows how to throw herself a stylish birthday bash (and drop jaws with her outfit choices).

The bridal designer turned 75 on June 27 and in the weekend that followed, she took to Instagram with photos of the fabulous looks she wore to her “black tie” birthday bash, which appeared to be Rat Pack themed.

Wang’s first look was a sexy black gown featuring stomach cutouts flaunting her abs. The strapless floor-length design, custom-made by her own eponymous label, featured criss-cross cutouts that displayed her midriff and hips.

She accessorized with a white fuzzy shawl, feathered earrings grazed her collarbones and a sleek headpiece by feathercraft designer Eric Charles-Donatien.

In the second post, Wang revealed her outfit change, which consisted of another custom Vera Wang piece — a backless white dress with a low-cut neckline that she accented with a dazzling statement necklace.

She kept the shawl but ditched the headband, letting her signature long hair make a statement on its own.

“Ava Gardner / Marilyn Monroe wannabe” she wrote of her look.

Two months before her birthday, Wang spoke to PEOPLE about her outlook on aging. While she admitted to feeling "a lot pressure" entering her mid-70s, she added that she's looking forward to the future.

“I think maybe a little bit like Warren Buffett [age 93] or Queen Elizabeth II [who reigned the British monarchy for seven decades until she was 96], I'm just going to keep prodding on because I feel as though I'm able to do my best work more and more. I'm really trying to respect that in me, that voice in me, that I feel very happy to be creating. That's what it's all about, really.”

These days, Wang has been on top of her selfie game (which is only to be expected of someone who went viral for her fit-and-fabulous Instagram post a few years back).

In May, Wang shared multiple snaps of her lounging poolside in the Hamptons and wearing a bridal white one-piece complemented with head-to-toe bling. And at the end of June, she gave fans a glimpse at her colorful Pride dress made with rainbow fabric flowing from the top to the bottom.

She also knows how to command a red carpet. On June 5 she made a jaw-dropping appearance at the 2024 Fragrance Foundation Awards in a dramatic highlighter green gown that was so bright she needed shades.
