Victoria and David Beckham Slip Back into Their Iconic Purple Wedding Outfits to Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Victoria and David Beckham are taking their icon status to the next level in honor of their 25th anniversary.

The couple, who got married on July 4, 1999, shared a joint Instagram post on July 3 in looks that look eerily similar to the purple Antonio Berardi reception looks that they wore on their big day 25 years ago.

"Look what we found…" the couple wrote on Instagram.

It's hard to say whether or not it's the original outfits, but the bold purple suit and body-hugging dress with floral accents look exactly the same as what the two wore all those years ago.

For the new photo, the couple lounged on thrones — as to be expected of a queen of fashion and king of sports celebrating 25 years of marriage. To modernize the looks for 2024, Victoria wore silver stilettos that laced up her calves and wore her long brown hair down. In 1999, her hair was cut short, which showed off much more of the floral detail on the one-shoulder dress.

David, on the other hand, is rocking many more tattoos in his updated photo — and far less highlights in his hair. Other than that, his styling is quite similar. He completed his suit with matching purple shoes and an affectionate look for his wife.

The posed for the photo holding hands, and truly the only thing missing was Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 25, the couple's oldest son, who was also present at the wedding. He wore a purple suit of his own, with a matching cowboy hat.

The couple, who is also parents to Romeo Beckham, 21, Cruz Beckham, 19, and Harper Beckham, 12, wed four months after Brooklyn was born, and for the actual ceremony, Victoria wore a champagne ball gown made by Vera Wang.

Wang told PEOPLE in October that the dress had to fly back and forth between London and New York four times while being created.

"I call it the transatlantic dress," Wang said. "That bodice flew back and forth four times on the Concorde. The actual under bodice was made by a very famous couture corsetiere named Mister Pearl, who works only out of London."

The type of corset of her dress is something Wang considered too extreme for herself — but a design perfect for Victoria.

"I could not live with that because I need to be comfortable, as I always say. But Victoria did."
