Victoria and David Beckham rewear purple wedding outfits to celebrate 25th anniversary: 'Look what we found'

The soccer star and Spice Girls singer married July 4, 1999.

David and Victoria Beckham had a "2 Become 1" moment 25 years ago this week.

The footballer and the Spice Girl — now both retired from those gigs — married on July 4, 1999, and they marked their silver anniversary by wearing purple ensembles that looked a lot like their looks at their wedding reception.

"Look what we found...." the Beckhams teased on social media.

The 2024 version of the looks featured them sitting atop thrones and looking as happy as they did as newlyweds.

The couple famously met at a soccer match in 1997, when he was playing for Manchester United. At the same time, she and her bandmates — Mel B (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Mel C (Sporty Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) — were in the throes of success, with songs like "Wannabe" and "Say You'll Be There" having already raced up the charts.

Both Beckhams explained in his 2023 Netflix documentary, Beckham, that they instantly "fancied" one another.

The Brits were engaged within a year, and 29 guests attended their nuptials at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ireland.

When it came time for the reception, the bride and groom wore those memorable color-coordinated looks by Antonio Berardi. Their only child at the time, baby Brooklyn, even wore a purple ensemble, complete with a bib.

The couple went on to have two more sons, Romeo and Cruz, before welcoming a daughter, Harper, in 2011.

They also ended up being less than thrilled with their early fashion choices. In a 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show, the designer once best known as Posh Spice was asked by host Jimmy Fallon why she and David often wore coordinated outfits in their early years together.

"It just seemed like a good idea at the time. It really did," she explained. "I think there was a naiveté then. We didn't know about fashion. We were just having fun with it, which, to be honest with you, is kind of the way it should be. I really wish I had the courage to do it more now."
