Kate Middleton’s cancer has strengthened bond with Prince William, report says

Kate Middleton’s cancer battle has reportedly brought the Prince and Princess of Wales closer and more in love than ever.

It has been just over three months since Princess Catherine shocked the world when announcing she was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” for an undisclosed form of cancer.

Since then, the 42-year-old mother of three has mostly kept away from the spotlight to focus on her recovery while surrounded by her family.

On June 15, Kate returned to the public alongside her husband and three kids to attend the Trooping of the Colour, a ceremony to celebrate King Charles’ birthday. That’s when some people took note of the couple’s body language — and how Kate’s health scare seems to have brought them closer than ever.

“Kate was gazing at William,” an unnamed source told Us Weekly, adding the couple appeared “all loved up.”

That was especially apparent as the couple stood next to King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

“William and Kate seem like a different couple!” the source said. “They used to be more reserved. But now, they can’t help but look at each other and smile.”

Attending the event despite her ongoing health challenges was a brave way for the princess to “support the royal family and tradition,” another source told the magazine.

A day before the celebration, Kate shared on social media she was “not out of the woods yet.”

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she posted on Instagram.

During the ceremony, the heir apparent to the British throne “stayed by her side and offered her reassurance,” the source said. “William was grateful to have Kate there, and it meant a lot to Charles too.”

William and Kate have also been prioritizing family time, according to reports. Later this summer, the royal couple is expected to take their three kids — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — for a beach holiday in Norfolk, in eastern England.

“When they’re together as a family, William and Kate are in their element,” the first source told the magazine. “The kids bring them even closer.”
