Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold Are Ready for 'Fun' Reunion with Chris Rock on “Everybody Hates Chris ”Animated Series

Everybody Still Hates Chris is bringing the fam back together!

On Tuesday, Variety announced that some original Everybody Hates Chris cast members —Chris Rock, Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold — will be returning to the beloved sitcom’s animated revival. Crews and Arnold shared the news in a fun Instagram video, where they are seen jumping with excitement.

“You know why we’re so happy?” Arnold asks the camera before looking at Crews, adding, “Tell them why we’re smiling.”

Everybody Still Hates Chris, it was announced today y’all,” Crews says. “The show that we did is now animated!”

Arnold adds: “Oh, it’s going to be so much fun. Let’s dance!”

The two start dancing together, laughing before the video comes to an end.

“We have been anxiously waiting to announce #EVERYBODY STILL HATES CHRIS - Animated series on @ComedyCentral - Yay!” the caption read. “We are so excited about this new venture. For all of you lovely people that have rocked with us, you now get a chance to laugh at our animated characters. We appreciate your support.”

The post concluded: “Let’s go!!!”

Each 30-minute episode, which will air on Comedy Central, is narrated and executive produced by Rock. Tyler James Williams starred as Chris in the original.

Arnold and Crews will reprise their characters as Chris’ parents, while new cast members Tim Johnson Jr., Ozioma Akagha, Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Gunnar Sizemore will join them.

“I’m very excited to introduce the world to another funny side of my childhood,” Rock said in a statement to Variety.

Everybody Hates Chris ran from 2005 to 2009 for four seasons on UPN and later The CW. The animated spinoff was first announced in August 2022, but few details have been shared until now.

In the 2022 press release, Chris McCarthy, President/CEO, Paramount Media Networks & MTV Entertainment Studios, spoke about the project.

"Chris Rock is one of the most gifted comedians of all time and we're excited to partner with him, 3 Arts and CBS Studios to bring this to life and welcome it as the next big hit," McCarthy said.

Everybody Hates Chris can be streamed on Tubi and Prime Video.
