TVLine Items: American Horror Stories Trailer, Top Gun Docuseries and More

Tricks, treats and a spectacled Lisa Rinna await in the Season 3 trailer for American Horror Stories.

FX on Monday released a sneak peek of the Hulu anthology’s return, which is being billed as a four-episode “Huluween” event and releasing all episodes on Thursday, Oct. 26. Additionally, the network has provided the following synopses and cast lists for each installment:

“Bestie” – After the loss of her mother, a young woman seeks connection in a mysterious online friend; Emma Halleen, Seth Gabel, Jessica Barden, Jeff Hiller and Amrou Al-Kadhi star.

“Daphne” – An artificial intelligence smart device grows attached to her user; Reid Scott, Annie Hamilton, Allegra Heart and Christopher Fitzgerald star.

“Tapeworm” – An up-and-coming model will stop at nothing in her hunger for success; Laura Kariuki, Hazel Graye, Lisa Rinna and Rob Yang star.

“Organ” – A blind date through an online dating app goes very awry; Raúl Castillo, Emily Browning, Laila Robins, Havana Rose Liu and Cameron Cowperthwaite star.

* National Geographic has greenlit Top Gun: The Next Generation, an “adrenaline-fueled and emotionally searing” documentary series that follows a group of officers as they push their limits on the grueling Advanced Flight Training Program.

* NBC News will host the third Republican presidential primary debate, to be held Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8/7c, live from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade (Fla.) County.

* The voice cast for Prime Video’s Hazbin Hotel — an adult animated series that follows the princess of Hell as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons — includes Erika Henningsen (Girls5eva) as the aforementioned Charlie Morningstar, Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Alex Brightman (The Blacklist), Keith David (Rick and Morty), Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black), Amir Talai (American Dad), Christian Borle (Smash), Blake Roman and Joel Perez.

* Paramount+ has released a trailer for the comedy series Colin From Accounts, which will premiere Thursday, Nov. 9 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly drops of two episodes each (through Nov. 30). The series follows Ashley (played by American Auto‘s Harriet Dyer) and Gordon (Evil‘s Patrick Brammall), “two single-ish, complex humans who are brought together by a nipple flash, a car accident and an injured dog.”
