Singer Robbie Williams unknowingly chose same fan to join him on stage, 20 years apart
KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 — Singer Robbie Williams was stunned to discover that he had unknowingly chosen the same fan to join him on stage — 20 years apart.
The startling coincidence happened in Budapest while the former Take That star was performing for huge crowds on his XXV European tour.
Williams, 49, revealed on Instagram he had chosen a lucky fan to join him on stage this week, only to learn he had picked out the exact same fan from the audience at a gig in 2003.
He wrote: “So this happened two nights ago in Budapest - I chose someone from the audience to come down to the front and, amazingly, I chose the same guy that I picked out from the audience in Budapest 20 years ago!”
“The odds of that happening?” he continued. “174,240,000 to 1. Nice to see you again, sir.”
Williams shared two photos — one of him with the fan this week, and another of the pair on stage in 2003.
In the latest photo, Robbie appeared grateful as he rested his head on the man’s shoulder.
Robbie is set to give fans a better taste of his latest musical project as he is reportedly preparing to release an album with dance group Lufthaus later this year.
