Singaporean comedian Kumar returns to Malaysia next month to celebrate ‘greatest hits’ in new special

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — After entertaining Asian audiences for three decades, Singaporean comedian Kumar is performing his greatest jokes one last time.

His upcoming comedy show Kumarsutra Greatest Hits will see Kumar perform his classic stories that have left fans in tears of laughter one final time before retiring them.

The show will be coming to Setia Spice Convention Centre, Penang on October 14, Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur on October 25 and 26 and Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House, Johor Bahru on October 28 and 29.

Kumar will also be performing in the Philippines and Indonesia.

Organised by LOL Asia, ticket sales are available now, with prices from RM128 to RM318 for VIP seats.

“I would like to say thank you to my Malaysian fans who have been very supportive of dear ol me,” the 55-year-old comedian said in a statement.

“I’m happy to make you laugh, and you make me happy with your continuous encouragement and support. I’ve been coming to Malaysia for more than 20 years for shows and I will always bring my best.”

Known for his hot takes and controversial remarks, Kumarason Chinnadurai (better known as Kumar) is a renowned comedian in Southeast Asia.

His brash humour has resonated with many Malaysians and Singaporeans.

The multi-talented artist has also entertained generations as an actor, TV host, dancer, director and author.
