Ronny Chieng to perform one-night-only show in Singapore on 13 September

Malaysian-born comedian, who grew up in Singapore, gained fame in The Daily Show and has released 2 Netflix specials

SINGAPORE - Comedian Ronny Chieng will return to Singapore for a one-night-only homecoming show at the Star Theatre on 13 September.

The 37-year-old last performed in Singapore in November 2019 during his 'Tone Issues' tour at the Esplanade Theatre.

The Malaysian-born performer, who grew up in Singapore, gained famed as a "senior correspondent" on Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show'. He has released two Netflix comedy specials, 'Asian Comedian Destroys America!' in 2019 and 'Speakeasy' last year.

He has also starred in Hollywood movies like Marvel's 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', 'M3GAN' and 'Joy Ride', and had a recurring role in Disney+ series 'American Born Chinese'.

Pre-sales for show tickets will run from 10am to 11.59pm on Tuesday (18 July) via Sistic. Fans can sign up for event promoter Now/Live's mailing list before 10pm on Monday to receive the pre-sale link, of which will be emailed out at 9am on Tuesday.

General sales will begin at 10am on Wednesday. Details of ticket prices and categories have yet to be announced.
