Michelle Yeoh's mum hopes actress will hold a wedding reception in Malaysia

31 Jul - The mother of Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, Datin Janet Yeoh admitted that she was not informed about the "Everything Everywhere All at Once" star's wedding to former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt.

Said the senior Datin Yeoh, Michelle made no mention about the wedding event that took place in Geneva, Switzerland last week when they last talked on the phone two weeks ago.

However, the 84-year-old believed that her daughter was just trying to surprise her. She also hopes that the couple can return to Malaysia to hold a reception in Michelle's home country.

"Todt has proposed many times and she just laughs and says it's fun every time he proposes. Todt loves Michelle too much," said Janet.

Michelle and Jean Todt met for the first time in June 2004 at the Shanghai Grand Prix, China before getting engaged a month later on July 2004, making it the shortest time for someone to pop the question and the longest engagement.
