Matt Rife is facing trouble yet again after allegedly telling a 6-year-old boy that his mom buys his gifts with money from OnlyFans.

The comedian, 28, was accused of making the controversial comment on Instagram after TikToker Bunny Hedaya’s son criticized his Netflix standup special, Natural Selection, on the platform.

During the special, Rife said he was tired of women blaming their “poor decision-making skills on planets that don’t even know you.”

“Your future is determined by your own thoughts, opinions and actions. You are in complete control of how your future turns out,” continued Rife. “It has nothing to do with stars, man. Just because Jupiter has a ring and you don’t, doesn’t mean that’s what you’re supposed to look up to for all this magical advice. And stop trying to explain it so confidently, you look stupid every time.”

At the start of the special, Rife also made a joke about domestic violence when telling a story about eating lunch at a Baltimore restaurant with a friend.

Rife said the hostess who showed them to their table had a “full black eye,” and his friend questioned why the restaurant wouldn’t have her work in the kitchen instead of greeting diners.

“Yeah, but I feel like if she could cook, she wouldn’t have that black eye,” Rife laughed. “Just testing the waters to see y’all are gonna be fun or not. I figure if we start the show with domestic violence, the rest of the show should be smooth sailing.”

Hedaya’s son reacted to Rife’s comments on Instagram in a video shared alongside a clip of his Netflix special last week.

“Actually, it’s Saturn that has the rings,” said Hedaya’s son. “It has more [visible rings] also. And you’re mean to girls.”

She captioned the post, “Are you smarter than a 7 year old??”

Rife then allegedly responded to the little boy’s remarks in a since-deleted comment on the post that read: “Jupiter also has [a] ring. OH!… and Santa [Claus] isn’t real. Your mom buys you presents with the money she makes on OnlyFans. Good luck.”

On Sunday, Hedaya shared a screenshot of the deleted comment in a TikTok video and addressed Rife’s actions at length.

“Matt Rife has decided to start beef with my 6-year-old child online,” Hedaya told the camera. “Yeah, you heard me correctly.”

She then denied Rife’s OnlyFans claim and told the star, “For you to assume that every woman online makes money by showing their bodies, which like if that’s what you do, do you girl, love it. [But] I have never made a single dollar from a man.”

“You can’t accept the fact that people may like women for their personalities. We know you don’t have one,” she added. “I really wish you luck on what’s left of your career, but keep my child’s name out of your mouth.”

Hedaya captioned the TikTok post: “Matt Rife started a fight with the wrong 6 year old. Buckle in. #bunny #bunnyhedaya #mommabear.”

Her 2.3 million followers were quick to share their thoughts on Rife's remarks, with one writing in the comments section, "Matt Rife is behaving more like a six year old than an actual six year old," while a second added, "WHAT???? Bunny this is insane 🫣."

A third wrote, "The fact that one thing your son said was funnier than his whole comedy special on Netflix 😭."

Despite recent criticism against him, Natural Selection has become one of Netflix's most-streamed comedy specials. It was also announced on Wednesday that Rife will join fellow comics Chris Rock, John Mulaney and Ali Wong as one of the headliners for next year's second-ever Netflix Is a Joke Fest in May 2024.
