A magical dolphin-toddler encounter, a delivery driver turned prom stylist, the ultimate cheer dad, a reporter’s biggest fan, and a bus driving hero topped our Humankind stories of the week.

When a little girl named Ryenn stopped in front of a tank at the Mississippi Aquarium, her family was not expecting this. A friendly dolphin stopped to greet the toddler, who seemed to also be communing with the sea creature. Their sweet chat will melt your heart.

Delivery drivers are renown for doing their best to help customers get what they need. In Chicago, Illinois, an Amazon employee named Eligha Bryant did just that. Noticing that prom-bound teenager Luke Breier's tie was too long, Eligha took it upon himself to adjust it. Now, thanks to him, Luke can arrive to prom in style.

In another unexpected moment caught on camera, a former football-playing dad named Andrè Simmons is often asked if his sons will continue his legacy. But at his daughter's cheer game at Temple High School in Texas, he shows the world his true colors: he is actually the ultimate cheer dad.

Reporters have tough jobs, and it's not uncommon for on-camera hosts to have to deal with hecklers, photo-bombers and other unwanted interruptions. But this interruption CityNews Toronto reporter Michelle Mackey gets before going live is simply the cutest. Finally, when Dallas ISD employee Raquel Radford Baker signed up to become a bus driver, she did not think this would happen. Seven-year-old Preston Bell accidentally swallowed a coin while in a bus outside his school, and upon alerting his bus driver Raquel, she immediately sprung into action. Carrying him out of the bus and performing the Heimlich manuever on him, the coin dislodged, saving Preston's life and making her a hometown hero.
