Kane Brown Reveals He Got a Vasectomy After Wife Katelyn Became Pregnant with Baby No. 3: 'Neutered'

On Thursday, the country star, 30, spoke on The Bobby Bones Show about his feelings towards welcoming a baby boy this year and revealed how his wife Katelyn encouraged him to get a vasectomy after they found out she was unexpectedly pregnant again.
“I’m scared for three,” he admitted on the podcast, adding, “I guess it was God’s plan.”
Brown said that he found out his wife, 31, was pregnant in October while getting on a private plane to play golf at Michael Jordan’s golf course for his birthday.

“We get on the plane. As I’m taking off I hear Kate say, ‘I think I’m pregnant’ and [the phone] cuts out,” the “Heaven” singer said. “So my whole flight down I’m like, ‘Oh my God. What’s going on?’”
“I was like I hope that she’s wrong,” he continued. “But then we found out it was a boy and I was like, ‘OK it’s God's plan. We have two girls. We weren’t trying this time.’ ”
After the baby news, Brown said his wife of five years encouraged him to get a vasectomy — which he eventually did. "Kate got me neutered already," he joked.
"She was telling me you gotta go get it," Brown explained. "And every time she would say that or tell somebody, dude my stomach, I just get sick. Man, I can’t do it.“
"It didn’t hurt,” he continued of the procedure. “For me, it was so weird. I mean they gave me [laughing] gas or whatever. I’m laying on my back and have a nurse and a doctor over me ... they’re talking about their day and I’m just laying on this table."
"I’m not out of it at all. I’m just, you know, sky high. They’re just having their conversation about their day and all this stuff and you’re just on the table spread-eagle. It was wild," he added, laughing.
Bones, 43, went on to ask the country singer if he was happy, to which Brown responded, “Yeah, I’m great.”
He and his wife revealed in December 2023 that they were expecting a third baby by sharing a photo to Instagram of themselves alongside daughters Kodi Jane, 2, and Kingsley Rose, 4, who held up a sonogram.

The couple captioned the post, “Last Christmas of 4 🎄❤️ Merry Christmas everyone!!" as several of their famous friends — including Taylor Lautner, Cole Swindell and Russell Dickerson — congratulated them.
At last month's 2024 People's Choice Awards pre-show, Brown shared that his daughters were “so excited” to add another member to their family.
He explained of daughter Kingsley, “Oldest is you know always touching my wife's belly and and just so happy for us to be adding to the family.”
