Super Junior renews contract with SM Entertainment as Donghae, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun leave for solo careers

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Fans of Super Junior, rejoice! The South Korean boyband has renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment, Allkpop reported.

However, members Donghae, Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun will leave SM Entertainment to carry out their solo projects elsewhere.

The three members will still keep ties with SM Entertainment for group activities and promotions for upcoming Super Junior releases.

2023 will mark the 18th anniversary of the group since its debut in 2005.

Currently, the group consists of Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

Former members Hangeng, Kibum and Kangin left the group in 2011, 2015 and 2019 respectively.

Super Junior was a pioneering K-pop boy group of the late 2000s and early 2010s, most known for their energetic hits Sorry, Sorry and Mr. Simple.

Its members Shingdong, Heechul and Siwon are also known for their successful solo careers in acting and hosting variety shows.
