Ruhainies withdraws from Starvendors Mega Raya Festival

18 Mar - Ruhainies has decided to withdraw from the upcoming Starvendors (SV) Mega Raya Festival amid the recent scandal involving her and actor Aliff Aziz.

The news was confirmed by one of the organisers, singer Ifa Raziah, who shared a screenshot of the actress' Instagram Story post, which stated that she has informed Ifa of her decision to withdraw from the festival.

"Don't worry. I have thought long and hard about this. I don't want other people's businesses to get affected because of me. I totally understand. God willing, I will have good fortune elsewhere," Ruhainies posted.

It is noted that Ifa previously asked fans not to boycott the said Raya Festival, to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) beginning 29 March, following backlash over Ruhainies' participation.

The singer said that as an organiser, she has to be neutral and not side with any party.

Ruhainies made headlines earlier this month after she was caught for alleged khalwat with Aliff back on 8 March, an incident that both she and Aliff explained to be a huge misunderstanding. Aliff's wife, singer-actress Bella Astillah had since filed for divorce from the actor.

Bella is to attend the event, to be held beginning 29 March
