While speaking with the magazine for an interview published Thursday, Ferguson said that she and her stylist, Tom Eerebout, went with a gothic ensemble by Olivier Theyskens for the Feb. 25 New York City premiere.

Her husband then stepped in to take her black bodysuit, which was layered under a sheer gown with lace and fishnet paneling, to even greater heights.

Ferguson explained that she accessorized her look with thigh-high black boots and stacks of dog chains that St. Clair Gainer picked up at a local pet store.

Adding a pop of color with a bright red lip, the actress jokingly referred to her style for the evening as “Madonna on crack.”

“I'm more Gothic. I'm edgy. I'm Scandi,” said the Swedish star, further describing her style. “I'm not fluffy and, you know, bride-like. That’s just not me.”

Her Big Apple premiere look was a complete 180 from her Dune character. In the first and second installments of the franchise, Ferguson stars as Lady Jessica, the mother of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet).

“I think for me it was quite nice at the end here to be able to just break loose and think, No, f--- it,” Ferguson told Harper's Bazaar of her gothic glam. “I'm going to go completely rogue and communicate something completely different. You know, [having the] freedom and the platform to do so.”

“She doesn’t have to stand in the forefront,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter of her character's quiet strength in 2021. “She’s so powerful that her words are sort of counterproductive to what she does. There was a calmness over her. I did a lot of meditation and breathing.”

While doing press for the film earlier this week, Ferguson revealed she was “screamed at” on the set of a past production by an A-list actor.

Discussing her “absolute idiot of a costar” on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, she said the person became irate because they couldn’t “couldn’t get the scenes out.”

“And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at,” Ferguson said. “But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

She declined to reveal the individual’s identity but did confirm it was not former her costars Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise.

Following the revelation, Ferguson's Hercules costar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson came to her defense.

“Hate seeing this, but love seeing her stand up to bulls---,” he wrote in response to a clip of the interview.

“Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set,” he added.

Dune: Part 2 opens in theaters on Friday.
