Florence Pugh gives playful sneak peek at 'Thunderbolts' set: 'I can show you some things'
Yelena Belova is sworn to secrecy, but Florence Pugh isnât (for the most part).
Pugh, who is set to reprise her role as the Marvel spy in the upcoming film âThunderbolts,â offered a playful sneak peek at the set of the crime-action flick in an Instagram video posted Wednesday.
âHey guys, how you doinâ? I know that Iâve kind of dropped off for a little bit, but thatâs partly because I was whisked off to Atlanta to go and shoot a movie that Iâm not really allowed to talk much about,â Pugh says. âBut I can show you some things, sneakily, as long as you donât tell anyone.â
The âDune 2â star kicks off the behind-the-scenes clip with a look at her Belova costume, a crisp sage green jacket and matching pants.
After cheerily introducing fans to some crew members, Pugh walks inside the filmâs studio, where she stealthily points the camera at a tower-like set piece. âTheyâre shooting,â she says. âIâll be quiet now.â
Unfortunately, Pughâs exclusive tour eventually reached its limits. The actress was admonished by director Jake Schreier when she greeted the filmmaker and asked what parts of the production she was allowed to show.
âI donât think youâre even allowed to be doing this most likely,â Schreier said, to which Pugh joked, âSomeoneâs going to come and rugby tackle me.â

Pugh wrapped the video by sharing her excitement for the filmâs release, which is slated to premiere in May 2025, per IMDb. âI canât wait for you to see what weâve made,â she said.
The âDonât Worry Darlingâ actress made her debut as Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021âs âBlack Widow,â which starred Pugh alongside Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour and Rachel Weisz. The film grossed $379.8 million at the global box office. Pugh revisited the character for a three-episode stint on the Disney+ series âHawkeyeâ that same year.

As for âThunderbolts,â the film is set to revolve around a group of supervillains working for the government. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on tap to reprise her role as shady group leader/recruiter Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, while âBlack Widowâ stars Harbour and Weisz are returning as Alexei Shostakov and Melina Vostokoff, respectively.
