KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — An obstetrician helped a couple in China to get pregnant once she found out what their problem was.

The couple, married for four years, were having sex the wrong way.

They had sought the help of obstetrician Dr Liu Hongmei who was surprised to find out the wife was still a virgin, reported China’s Guiyang Evening Post and was translated by portal Mirror.

The unnamed couple, aged 26 and 24, from Bijie city in China’s south-western Guizhou province failed to conceive even though they had sex regularly for the past four years.

“Their family was giving them a lot of stress because of it,” Dr Liu adding that the wife had told her having sex with her husband was ‘unusually painful’.

After dismissing the wife of having a gynaecological disease due to her still being a virgin, Hongmei decided to examine the woman’s anus.

It turned out, the reason the couple failed to conceive was because they were having anal sex the whole time.

“Four years of marriage and neither the husband or wife knew how to get pregnant. Couples so lacking in general knowledge are very rare.”

“But it is not uncommon for people to lack or have misconceptions regarding sexual knowledge,” she said.

The doctor then gave the couple sex education handbooks along with some advice and guidance.

This help led to the wife finally getting pregnant.

Subsequently, the couple gave the now-retired doctor a gift of 100 eggs and a live hen.
