Asian divas Frances Yip, Maria Cordero and Elisa Chan to perform in Malaysia in July
KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Legendary singers Frances Yip, Maria Cordero and Elisa Chan will be returning to perform in Malaysia in July.
To be held at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on July 8, the 3 Asian Divas Live in Concert 2023 showcase will start at 8.30pm.
The trio are known for their powerful vocal range and impressive singing skills which they mastered and perfected over their decades' long music careers
Yip shot to fame in the 80s by performing the theme songs of TVB drama series including hits like Shanghai Beach, which is the theme song of famous Hong Kong drama The Bund.
In her illustrious 43 years career in the music industry, Yip has released over 80 albums, including songs in Cantonese, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, Indonesia, Spanish, Japanese and Tagalog.
Cordero, better known by her moniker Fei Ma (Fat Mama), is a veteran singer, actress and TV host with her own cooking show, Maria’s Kitchen.
Her singing career started in the mid-80s when she was spotted singing in the nightclub, which later earned her recording contracts, movie roles and comedy performances.
Cordero will be belting out her signature hits such as Wasted Breath, The Light of Friendship and Mama, I Love You.
Chan rose to fame after collaborating with late singer and actor Leslie Cheung and was one of the biggest stars during the 1980s.
She is also fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, English and Tagalog, making her a multilingual singer.
