Annie Arifin upset over romance rumour with AR Badul

21 Jun – "Vik2ria Secret" actress Annie Arifin is filing a police report against producer Richard Ung, alleging that the latter spread rumours about her supposedly marrying AR Badul in secret.

The actress, 40, stated that the producer suggested the gossip to her and Badul a few months ago and that she had already disagreed back then as it would embarrass her and her family.

"But I was surprised when the gossip was spread a day after the movie gala last week. I was saddened by it as not only it has brought shame to me and my family, I was also bombarded by calls from family members and friends about it," she said.

Annie stated that she didn't want to have such a controversy, even though the producer stated that it was a way to get her name out there.

"I have been acting for ten years. Not once have I ever been involved in any scandal. I am already 40. I have a kid. I am not acting for the popularity, but to earn money for the family," she added.

Annie stated that she would like for Ung to make a public apology in a week's time or face legal action.

As for her relationship with Badul, the actress said that the two are only colleagues, and that she sees the actor as a mentor.
