KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 — Flood relief volunteer Azwan Omar better known by his moniker ‘Abang Viva’, and his team of volunteers are back in Melaka.

This is after a six-day flood relief mission in Terengganu last week with his Abang V-va Movement Welfare Organisation, which included his wife Eva Noza Zakaria, where they helped victims in areas including Paka, Jerteh and Kuala Berang.

Following their return a few days ago, Azwan in a Facebook post announced that he and his wife will be holding a wedding reception in Melaka this December 31 to celebrate their nuptials.

The 30-year-old added that it will be just a small reception due to budget and will take place at his parents home in Taman Pengkalan Indah, Alor Gajah.

“I would just like to ask for your prayers and well wishes for our wedding. (If there are those who would like to sponsor, you are more than welcome to give me a DM) thank you,” Azwan cheekily wrote on his Facebook.

His post has garnered over 5,000 likes with over 200 comments from social media users congratulating him and his wife.

Some users were also seen applauding Azwan for having a small-scale wedding ceremony.

“InsyaAllah will be there, it doesn’t matter how big the scale is, as long as the intention is in the right place,” replied user Hariss Jauhary.

“Congratulations bro, keep it simple as long as both of you are happy,” user Tahrin Pedalcraft commented.

“Just like how Abang Viva has helped and eased many flood victims’ predicaments, may Allah SWT repay it by easing all your matters,” said user Aida Qhu.

Azwan and Eva tied the knot back in October 14 this year after he had proposed to her via a TikTok Live earlier in July, reported mStar.

Both of them had planned for the reception in December this year but couldn’t decide on the right date as they were concerned about the monsoon season.

Azwan made headlines in December last year after travelling from Melaka in his Perodua Viva with only RM50 in his pocket to help out flood victims in the Klang Valley.
