Zooey Deschanel is an absolute maximalist when it comes to fashion. Much like her New Girl character Jessica Day, she’s got a penchant for vivid colors and patterns. The 40-year-old singer and actress recently showed Who What Wear around her closet and I don't know about you, but there are definitely a few pieces I'd love to borrow.
Deschanel kicks off the tour, which you can exclusively watch here on IGTV, at the door of her walk-in closet. She explains that she shares half of the space with her beau, Property Brothers’ Jonathan Scott. "But you don't get to see [his side] because he's... it's personal," she says with a chuckle. While that is completely fair and I do respect his privacy, I would love to know how many plaid shirts and suit vests he owns.

Moving along, Deschanel shows off her jumpsuit collection featuring pieces from Big Bud Press, Rachel Antonoff, Sea NY, and Ulla Johnson. She also takes us through some of her dresses, including the lengthier ones which she refers to as her "Little House on the Prairie" dresses.
As a whole, the closet boasts an impressive grid-like organization system. It features a shelved wall for her shoes, a center island for her delicates, as well as a cabinet equipped with glass-paned doors for her handbags and hats.
"I like to have things organized by color, she explains, adding that "it helps me find things because I'm actually very visual." Deschanel shares that she also organizes her books by color.
Other labels featured in her wardrobe include Staud, Rebecca Minkoff, A.L.C., Alex Mill, Farm Rio, Zimmerman. Despite her assortment of designer pieces, we mustn’t forget that Deschanel’s a Crocs ambassador. She shows us her white and blue floral pair.
