Zhao Wei makes TV comeback with new series
23 Oct – After a long TV hiatus, Zhao Wei is making her television comeback with a new series "As Long As We Are Together".
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, whose last series was the 2015 "Tiger Mom", is set to star alongside Qin Hao in the new drama, where the two will play the role of a couple who have disagreements about living in the school district for the sake of their children.
The news was also shared on social media with a photo of her during the production launch, which described the drama as "A look into burning social issues such as education, housing and elder care."
The upcoming series will be directed by mainland director Wang Jun, who previously helmed "A Little Reunion" and "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace".
Although netizens expressed skepticism about the subject matter of the series, many admitted that they are interested to watch it when it airs as Zhao Wei is known to pick only quality projects.
