HoYoverse, the developer of popular games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail is making final preparations for the launch of Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), its highly anticipated urban fantasy action RPG, after recently opening its doors for pre-registration on Tuesday evening (23 April).

Players can now pre-register through the PlayStation™Store, Google Play, App Store, and Epic Store.

ZZZ throws players into a world messed up by a disaster called the "Hollows." These anomalies spawn dangerous creatures known as "Ethereals," threatening what's left of civilization. In the chaos, New Eridu stands tall as humanity's last hope, using tech and resources to fight back against the Hollow threat.

As Proxy, players navigate the Hollows, guiding those who need to brave these dangerous areas. Alongside a bunch of characters, players uncover the mysteries of New Eridu, take down Ethereals, complete missions, and explore the dying world.

The game had its initial closed beta in 2022, with previews at the 2023 Tokyo Games Show and HoYofest 2023.

The second closed beta, released in December 2023, centred on a faction in Belobog Heavy Industries and demonstrated how ZZZ is HoYoverse's distinct take on combat-oriented roguelites.

Then, in February 2024, HoYoverse announced ZZZ's PlayStation 5 release. This was followed by a third round of closed-beta testing sign-ups in March 2024, and technical tests for the PlayStation 5 in April.

Pre-registration rewards

There are perks and in-game rewards for pre-registrants of ZZZ, scaling with sign-up milestones. Players can score up to 20 Master Tapes, unlocking rare characters, Agent Corin, 30,000 Dennies, and Boopons, crucial for snagging rare Bangboos. These rewards will be dished out via in-game mail when the game launches.

To pre-register, players can head over to PlayStation™Store and Epic Store to wishlist Zenless Zone Zero. Alternatively, players can also sign up directly on Google Play, App Store, or the official Zenless Zone Zero website.
