Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed a new commander of the Special Operations Forces, Colonel Serhiy Lupanchuk, according to a decree published on the President's website on Nov. 3.

There is no information about Lupanchuk in open sources.

Previously, Major General Viktor Khorenko, a participant in the Russo-Ukrainian war, was the commander of the SOF. Zelenskyy signed a decree on his dismissal on the same day.

Khorenko had served as the commander of the Special Operations Forces since July 25, 2022.
