Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned Russia’s “predictable” decision to halt grain supplies in the Black Sea on Saturday, October 29.
In his regular Saturday night address, released on his social media channels, Zelensky branded the decision “a transparent attempt by Russia to return to the threat of large-scale famine in Africa and Asia,” and urged a tough, global response from international bodies.
Russia earlier used Telegram to announce the decision to halt grain supplies, citing an alleged Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow’s Black Sea Fleet earlier in the day as its reason.
