Zaina Sze back to work post COVID-19 recovery

18 Sep – Nearly a month after she recovered from COVID-19, Hong Kong singer Zaina Sze is now back to work - filming the music video for her new song, "Initial Heart".

As reported on Mingpao, the singer who spoke to the media at the shooting location of the said music video, stated that she is thankful to everybody for their well-wishes during the period of her treatment.

"I self-quarantined for a month after I was discharged from the hospital. The doctor said that I have no problem with my health now. But for the peace of mind of the crew, I got myself tested again before starting work. I am sure everything is fine now," she said.

Zaina stated that she has been looking forward to release new songs for a while now and was happy to finally able to do so after much delay.

As to her decision to cast independent singer Alex Lam to play the male lead in her music video, Zaina said that she has always enjoyed yoga and loved seeing him teach yoga on the internet - which is why she decided to offer him the role.

Back in July, Zaina became the first Hong Kong celebrity to be diagnosed with COVID-19, followed by actor Robert Mak and his girlfriend Apple - the latter who is also Zaina's manager.
