Zac Efron has led a varied career since his breakout role in High School Musical, and now he'll be returning to work with Disney once again in a remake of the 1987 comedy Three Men and a Baby for Disney Plus.

Three Men and a Baby told the story of three New York bachelors, Peter, Michael and Jack who find themselves having to take care of a baby left outside their door by one of their girlfriends. The trio quickly discover how challenging taking care of a baby is but ultimately their lives are completely changed by her.

The film, which was hugely successful back in 1987, starred iconic 80's actors, Tom Selleck (who would go onto play Richard on Friends), Steve Guttenberg (The Goldbergs) and Ted Danson (The Good Place). We don't know yet which role Efron will play, or how the film will be updated for a less 80s audience.

This marks Efron's first return to Disney since his breakout role in High School Musical back in 2006. The hit film led to two more in the franchise and earlier this year Efron reprised his role as Troy Bolton to join the rest of the cast in a virtual performance of 'We're All In This Together' as part of a Disney TV special.

Since the HSM days, Efron has gone from his role as Ted Bundy in Netflix's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile to his most recent project Down To Earth, in which he travels the world with self-proclaimed wellness guru Darin Olien as the pair seek out healthy, sustainable lifestyle choices around the globe.
