A photographer captured footage of an incredible display of the northern lights in the skies over the Aurora Borealis Observatory in Silsand, Norway, posting the mesmerizing sight to social media on November 25.
Astrophotography enthusiast Matthew Robinson told Storyful, the video was recorded between 10.30 pm and 11.15 pm on the 25th, with other Norway-based photographers capturing the sight on that date too.
“We understand enough about the aurora to predict that a display like this is likely, but it kept us waiting for two hours. Then, just as we were about to go to bed… bang! It exploded above our heads,” Robinson said.
Robinson added, “Nothing comes close to this experience and I genuinely wish everyone had the chance to see this.” Credit: Matthew Robinson via Storyful
