'You're Hiding Them Somewhere' - Bear Inspects Wildlife Center Worker for More Treats

We’ve all been there, just wanting one last treat before getting on with our day. But it’s perhaps a little harder to explain to a 330-pound Syrian brown bear that there are no snacks left.

Footage shared to YouTube by the Orphaned Wildlife Center, a sanctuary based in Otisville, New York, shows the moment Jenny, the brown bear in question, realized that one of the center’s workers had no more delicious snacks to enjoy after a quick feed.

Jim Kowalczik, the sanctuary worker in question who is also co-founder of the center, can be seen in the YouTube video feeding Jenny treats (with the bear grabbing the food from between Kowalczik’s teeth). Jenny then inspects Kowalczik’s hands to see if there’s anything else on offer.

Thankfully, such is the bond between Kowalczik and the bears, Jenny doesn’t take the disappointment of the lack of additional food too harshly and wanders off to explore elsewhere.
