Youngest Media Names Elwin de Groot As Head Of Development
Youngest Media, the company behind NBC’s Small Fortune and MTV’s Game of Clones, has a new development team.
Youngest, which was previously a British production company led by former Endemol Shine executives Lucas Church and David Flynn and backed by Liz Murdoch, was revived as a U.S. production company by Ed October last year after it went into “voluntary” liquidation in the UK.

It has now hired Elwin de Groot as consulting Head of Development and Maddie Large as Development Coordinator. De Groot will be in charge of Youngest’s creative team and will oversee its format library, while also continuing to work with other clients.
De Groot, who developed Fox musical competition series The Four, was previously SVP, Entertainment at All3Media’s Optomen Productions and has held senior roles at company including MTV Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Talpa Content, Endemol Shine and Armoza Formats.
Other credits include NBC’s I Can Do That and Paramount+’s All Star Shore.
He reports to October, who previously exec produced The Wanda Sykes Show.
