A young woman has been left “traumatised” after a man violently attacked her by Victoria Railway Station.

The woman, aged in her early 20s, suffered “significant” facial injuries in the “unprovoked” assault, which happened in Terminus Place next to the station around 2am on November 5.

The Metropolitan Police on Wednesday released two images of a man they are trying to identify following the attack.

The suspect is described by police as a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, with a large bushy beard. He was wearing a dark grey or green puffer style jacket.

The officer in charge of the case, PC Jasmine Stow, said: "This was a cowardly and unprovoked assault on a young woman at the end of what had been an enjoyable night out. She is still traumatised by the incident.

"I would ask the public to take a good look at the image and anyone who recognises this man is asked to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
