Yosemite Park to Close as Snowmelt Brings Flooding Concerns
Yosemite National Park announced an almost total closure on Friday, April 28, as rapid snowmelt caused flooding concerns.
Springtime warming could bring excessive snowmelt runoff and flood rivers, creeks, and streams through Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. The park announced that the closures would last until Wednesday, May 3, but could possibly be extended.
