New Yorkers Treated to Brilliant Sunset as Snowstorm Misses City

New Yorkers were treated to a spectacular sunset on the evening of Monday, January 3, as a snow storm that dumped as much as a foot of snow on parts of the East Coast largely missed the city.

The National Weather Service forecast only a light dusting of snow within city limits, while up to three inches were expected at the easternmost tip of Long Island.
