New Yorkers Sled at Snowy Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn

A nor’easter buried parts of New York City in more than a foot of snow by Tuesday, February 2, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The “major” winter storm began Sunday night and was moving out of the region on Tuesday. More than 17 inches of snow was recorded in Manhattan’s Central Park by 7 am on Tuesday, the NWS said.
