New York City Marathon Returns After COVID-19 Hiatus

The 2021 New York City Marathon kicked off on Sunday, November 7, returning after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.

Approximately 30,000 runners transverse the race’s 26.2-mile course across the city’s five boroughs, beginning in Staten Island and looping through Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, before ending in Manhattan’s Central Park.
