Xi calls for multilateral coordination in face of pandemic
peaking via a weblink at the World Economic Forum on Monday, Xi stressed the importance of multilaterism as a way out of current challenges.
He made his his first appearance at the forum since his vigorous defence of free trade and globalisation in an address in Davos in 2017.
Xi also called on the world to strengthen macro-economic policy coordination and remove barriers to trade, investment, and technological exchanges. He said the global economic outlook remained uncertain and public health emergencies were to recur in future.
