Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn stepped out for the opening of Robert Downey Jr.'s play 'McNeal' in New York City
Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn were spotted on a rare public outing as they saw a new Broadway play together.
On Monday, Sept. 30, the director, 88, and his wife, 53, were photographed at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in New York City for the opening night of McNeal, which stars Robert Downey Jr. in his Broadway debut.
Also at McNeal's opening night performance on Sept. 30, were Jason Bateman, Justin Theroux, Will Arnett, Paul Rudd and Matt Damon.
McNeal also stars Brittany Bellizeare, Rafi Gavron, Melora Hardin, Andrea Martin, Ruthie Ann Miles and Saisha Talwar. It is currently set for a limited engagement through Nov. 24.
Allen and Previn have been married since December 1997, and they share two children, whom they welcomed via adoption: Bechet, 25, and Manzie, 24.

Allen and Previn were previously seen out for a walk in N.Y.C. on April 24. In September 2023, Allen, Previn and their daughters all attended the Venice Film Festival, where the entire family took to the red carpet for the premiere of Allen's 2023 movie Coup de Chance.
Allen said during a press conference at last year's festival that he considered himself "very lucky," saying, "I was lucky my whole life really. I had two loving parents, I have good friends. I have a wonderful wife and marriage, two children."
Dylan Farrow, whom Farrow and Allen welcomed via adoption, previously accused Allen of sexually abusing her as a child, which he has denied over the years. In a rare interview published by Variety in September 2023, Allen said the claims have "no merit."
Previn is Mia Farrow's daughter, whom she welcomed via adoption with ex-husband André Previn. While Allen was in a relationship with Farrow, now 79, he began an affair with Soon-Yi that culminated in his breakup with the Rosemary's Baby actress in the early 1990s.
