Woman Saved From 'Pitch Black' and 'Freezing' Sea off Skegness

Lincolnshire Police have praised officers and three passers-by who sounded the alarm after a woman was seen entering the water off Skegness on Friday, April 28.

Drone footage released by Lincolnshire Police shows officers from the Neighbourhood Tasking Team in Skegness entering the waves to retrieve the woman after being called to the scene by what the force described as three local “asylum seekers”.

The force praised the three men for not only sounding the alarm about the woman, but also assisting officers in the rescue.

The woman was rescued from the sea and taken to hospital. All involved in the rescue were “safe and well”, according to the force. Credit: Lincolnshire Police via Storyful
