Woman Rescued From Floodwaters in Fort Worth, Texas

A woman was rescued from floodwaters by firefighters in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 24, as the National Weather Service warned of flooding hazards in the Dallas-Forth Worth area.

Footage filmed by local resident Howard VanCleave shows rescuers approaching the woman as she clings to a tree branch in deep water.

“From what [the firefighters] said to us afterwards, her car was at Wagley Robertson and Bent Oak and started floating as she drove through standing water,” VanCleave told Storyful. “She jumped out and was swept downstream where she managed to grab a small tree.”
