Woman Recovering After Being Pushed Into Moving Train at Times Square Subway Station

Police in New York City released video on October 4 that they said shows an unidentified individual pushing a woman on a Times Square subway platform, causing her to be struck by a moving train.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) said the incident happened on Monday at approximately 08:05 am inside the Times Square – 42nd Street subway station. Security-camera footage shows the individual push someone as the train approaches the platform. The victim, wearing a blue backpack, can be seen to be pushed by the suspect.

Police said the suspect fled after pushing the 42-year-old woman victim, who then fell back onto the platform after being struck. They said the victim sustained “serious physical injuries to her face and legs” and was transported in a stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
