  • TikTok creator Kimberley Hill posted a video searching for a stranger's wife after meeting the husband on a flight from Texas to Indiana

  • Hill recounted how the man earnestly raved about his wife and their family, sharing photos and detailing their recent vacation

  • The video reached more than 386,000 viewers on TikTok, some of whom personally know the couple and commented to share their appreciation

On a delayed flight out of Texas, a man poured his heart out to the stranger sitting next to him — and his seatmate just couldn't keep the meaningful interaction to herself.

Kimberley Hill took to TikTok to detail her in-flight conversation in the hopes that her message would reach the man's wife, whom he raved about during their travels to Indiana.

"If your name is Tanya and you have a husband named Pat from Waco, Texas, and he was on a delayed flight ... to Indianapolis yesterday, which was June the 3rd, I just want you to know that your husband loves you so much," Hill began her now-viral video, which has reached more than 386,000 TikTok viewers.

She continued to share how Pat "could not stop" talking about his wife and their kids.

"With the genuine love that was pouring out of him for you all when he was talking about it, I could tell he needed somebody to brag to about you guys," Hill added. "Honestly, it was refreshing to see a man be so committed and loyal to his family, even while he's gone."

Hill tells PEOPLE she's watched similar videos aimed to reach someone's spouse, but they usually detail far more negative interactions. Hill decided to share her conversation with Pat to highlight a moment of kindness between strangers.

"I have seen so many people making videos where they caught someone’s husband cheating on them, and I felt like someone like Pat deserved more attention than the cheaters do," says Hill.

While Pat and Tanya didn't reach out directly, Hill's message did reach people who know the couple, including their daughter, who responded with a comment.

"Oh my goodness! Thank you for sharing! This is my dad and it got back to us! He truly is one of the most present, kind and loving humans," the daughter wrote.

Hill says she enjoys chatting with her seatmates on flights, so she and Pat easily struck up a conversation after he offered to put her bag in the overhead bin for her.

"We then just started talking about the plane being delayed and what plans we had to alter due to the plane being delayed," she tells PEOPLE. Their conversation soon moved on to Pat's family, and he detailed their recent vacation to Cabo and showed Hill photos of his and Tanya's entire family, including their grandchildren.

"You could tell that he was so proud of his whole family," Hill explains. "I think his character truly showed what a good man he was, and I just wanted the world to see that he was a good one."

Pat continued to leave an impression on his seatmate after the flight, when they parted ways in the airport.

"He said, 'Have a good life Kimberley,' and for some reason it really made me want to have a good life," Hill recalls to PEOPLE. "Sometimes you can just feel someone’s aura in the nature of how good they really are."

The TikTok creator says she's glad her video reached Pat and Tanya's family after all: "I know if my husband was traveling and someone made a video like this my heart would be overflowing," says Hill.
