Woman Demonstrates 'Natural Way' to Teach a Kitten to Stop Biting

A Brooklyn woman demonstrated how to make a kitten stop biting in a video posted to her Instagram on November 5.

Kiri Blakeley’s video captures her successful attempt to prevent Jonas, a seven-week-old foster kitty, from biting at her hand. Blakeley makes the kitten comply by “growling as his mother would.”

“It’s just something I do with kittens if they are biting a lot, and they normally respond this way,” said Blakeley, who has fostered kittens for many years.

Blakeley told Storyful she got the idea after watching a video of a mother cat growling to shut down tiny kittens who were biting her. Credit: Kiri Blakeley via Storyful
