Who is in the cast of The Witcher Season 4?
Liam Hemsworth has taken the mantle of Geralt of Rivia, a magic monster-hunter, or “witcher” who possesses supernatural abilities due to experimental mutagens that turned his hair white. Portrayed by Henry Cavill in the first three seasons of the fantasy adaptation, Geralt drives the plot of the series with his adventures and action.

Laurence Fishburne has been cast in Season 4 as Regis, a fan-favorite character from the books and games. Regis is a world-wise Barber-surgeon with a mysterious past who joins Geralt on his Season 4 quest based on the novel Baptism of Fire.

What is The Witcher Season 4 about?
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, season four follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire — and finding one another again.
Why did Henry Cavill leave The Witcher?
The actor originally departed the series when he planned to return as Superman in Black Adam (2022), but despite a post-credit scene appearance for his superhero in the film, the larger role reprisal did not pan out. David Corenswet has filled the role Season 3 of the series had already been shot with Cavill in the titular role. James Gunn, who is now head of the DCEU, shut down a conspiracy theory that he had always planned to replace Cavill after he directed The Suicide Squad.
The arrangements for Hemsworth to take the reigns from Cavill were made with the Superman gig in mind. Once he confirmed that his “time to wear the cape has passed” fans thought it could be possible to reverse the plans.
