Winter Weather Sweeps Snow Across Staten Island

The National Weather Service (NWS) on Thursday, February 19, said a winter weather advisory would remain in effect for New York City until 7 pm Friday night.

This video was shared by Kal Tellefsen, who said he observed a falling mixture of sleet and snow in Staten Island.

“1.3 inches of the mix has fallen in the last two hours, so my 1 pm total in Staten Island, NY is 4.1 inches,” he wrote in a tweet.

The NWS reported similar accumulations for Staten Island, with the neighbourhoods of Annadale and Westerleigh receiving 4.1 and 2.6 inches of snow respectively. Credit: Kal Tellefsen via Storyful
