Winter Weather Is 'Snow Problem' for Horde of Hungry Squirrels in Upstate New York

As snowfall hit Henrietta, New York, on January 19, amid reports of lake effect snow sweeping the area, a quartet of squirrels could be seen nibbling in the yard of a local photographer.

Footage taken by Twitter user @jodipaynephoto shows the squirrels foraging in the snow, with a particularly rambunctious one leaping up a pole to avail itself of a feeder.

The National Weather Service had reported heavy lake effect snow moving inland off Lake Ontario on January 19. Snow is also likely Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in Henrietta, the NWS said. Credit: @jodipaynephoto via Storyful
