Winter Storm Cuts Power, Downs Trees in Kentucky

A winter storm cut power for thousands of people and created icy conditions across Kentucky on Thursday, February 11, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The storm began on Wednesday night and continued into Thursday morning. The NWS said the storm knocked out power for more than 50,000 people at around 5 am on Thursday.
