Winter Storm Causes Whiteout Conditions on California Roads
A winter storm was causing low visibility and dangerous driving conditions in Placer County, California, on Wednesday, March 8, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) which posted this video of CHP vehicles driving in near-whiteout conditions.
Multiple roads in the area were open but operating with chain restrictions, said CHP in Truckee.
The severe winter storm was expected to worsen in the days ahead, and the National Weather Service warned of potential flooding.
