A woman who has turned 109 still eats a bacon sandwich for breakfast every morning.
Winifred Parker celebrated the milestone surrounded by five generations of her family at a care home in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, on Thursday.
Sally Connolly, the activities coordinator at Winnies Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) homes, revealed that the birthday girl follows a daily routine that could potentially be the secret to her old age.
Connolly said: "She just takes it in her stride, she puts her pearls on every day and gets dressed up.
"Winnie just loves life. She lies in till about 9.30am and then has a bacon sandwich every morning with a cup of tea.”

Parker had a party with a saxophonist playing her favourite song I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles alongside balloons and cake.
In her youth, she was a singer on the Birmingham club scene and was known for her "brilliant" singing.
She has an impressive ten great-great grandchildren - the oldest of which is 18 - and another on the way in March.
Great-granddaughter, Kelly White, said: "It’s priceless for the youngest children to have a great-great-grandparent.
"We all have so many wonderful memories of growing up with Winnie.”
In June, Britain's oldest twins celebrated their 102nd birthdays with cheese sandwiches.
Edith Dumbleton and Dorcas Tobin were born 45 minutes apart at their family home in Banbury, Oxon.

The non-identical pair are believed to be the third oldest twins in the world and the joint oldest in Britain.
Edith, the oldest, said: “It’s marvellous we’ve got to this age because we don’t know anyone else near 100, so for us it’s been incredible.
Dorcas added: “I’m very thankful that although we’ve had frugal lives there’s been a lot to enjoy throughout it.”
Between them, they have five children, nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
