Wildlife Swept Up in Australia Bushfire Spotted in Timelapse Video

A camera installed in a Victoria forest as part of an effort to monitor native animals captured just some of the wildflife impacted by bushfires in the state.

This timelapse video, with images from November, December and January, shows a vibrant, lively forest later consumed by fire.

“See if you can spot the possum, wombat, deer and kangaroo before the blue skies are blocked by smoke, and fire roars through the camera location,” Forest Fire Management Victoria wrote on Facebook. Credit: Forest Fire Management Victoria via Storyful
